The first Singapore “Chan Soo Sen Cup” Racial Harmony Day Graphic Xiangqi Tournament was held on July 21, 2019 at the Bishan Community Club. The Singapore Xiangqi Association and Bishan Community Club organized the event, which was sponsored by Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and supported by Mr. Chan Soo Sen, the former Minister of State for Education.

The tournament was divided into five categories: open group, u18 group, u12 group, women’s group and senior group, and the players all showed a high level of competition.

The winners of five categories were determined after a fierce competition (Open: Alvin Woo, Senior: Lum Yew Sum, U18: Lim Jun An, U12: David Chik, Women: Fiona Tan).

Chinese baijiu not only contributed to the success of the tournament, but also built a platform to meet friends through baijiu, attracting more local friends to inherit and promote xiangqi culture and further understand Chinese Baijiu culture.
