The 2nd Wuliangye Chinese Chess Competition

On October 19th, the 2nd “Wuliangye Cup” chess competition was held by Singapore China Baijiu Association, Wuliangye distributor Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and Singapore Xiangqi Association.

Charles Oon, President of Singapore Chinese Baijiu Association and Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd, Lim Guanhao, President of Singapore Xiangqi Association, Huang Xiaohua, Vice President of Singapore Xiangqi Association, and Tan Yangfeng, a famous Singaporean baritone, all came to the venue to exchange chess skills and taste Wuliangye with the participants and witness the promotion of two China cultures in Singapore.

This year’s tournament drew 38 chess masters to compete in a peaceful yet competitive final, with each player striving to play their best.

The tournament’s top eight players emerged after a fierce competition. Among them, Liu Yihao, the winner of the first “Wuliangye” chess tournament in 2018, triumphed once more.

Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd also set up a food buffet and Wuliangye tasting session after the tournament to further promote the participants’ understanding of Wuliangye. After carefully listening to the staff’s explanation, the participants stated that the “cross-border” combination of Wuliangye and chess allowed them to appreciate the charm of Wuliangye as well as the profound Chinese culture contained in Wuliangye.
