The 3rd Singapore “Wuliangye Cup” Chuhan Chess Open Tournament


The 2022 3rd Singapore “Wuliangye Cup” Chuhan Chess Open, hosted by Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd, Singapore China Baijiu Association, and co-organized by Singapore Xiangqi Association, concluded on February 28 after 5 days of exciting competition.

It is a professional-level chess tournament for local chess players. It not only enriched the spiritual and cultural lives of chess enthusiasts during the epidemic prevention and control period, but it also contributed to the development of chess culture. The game was held in strict accordance with the government’s policies on epidemic prevention and control.

Several players sat on both sides of the Chu River and Han borders in the competition venue and began a fierce competition for the championship.

Wu Zonghan won the championship with the highest score after 5 rounds of battles. Yu Zhaohui also displayed excellent chess skills and finished second, while Xu Daorong and Zhu Yongji finished third and third, respectively. The winners were presented with awards by Mr. Yun Weilong, Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and President of the Singapore China Liquor Association.

Mr. Sun Jingting, the Singapore Chess Association’s permanent honorary president, presented medals and bonuses to players Soong Jinming, Zheng Chenxi, Chen Shichang, and Chen Jingwei.

Mr. Yun Weilong, Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and Permanent Honorary President of Singapore Xiangqi Association, received a valuable gift from Lim Guanhao, Vice President of Singapore Xiangqi Association, to represent the tournament’s complete success.
