The 4th “Moutai Cup” Black and White Wisdom Go Invitation Tournament
On September 11, the 4th Singapore “Moutai Cup” Black and White Wisdom Go Invitational Tournament 2021, hosted by Singapore China Baijiu Association and Kweichow Moutai Distributor-Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and co-organized by Singapore Weiqi Association, was grandly opened. Many Go elites gathered to meet friends with chess and make friends with Baijiu.

Yun Weilong, President of Singapore China Baijiu Association, Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Co., Ltd., Chen Dingchuan, President of Singapore Go Association, and Yang Jinhua, the head coach and competition judge, all came to the scene to exchange Go skills with the contestants and witness the difference between Baijiu culture and Go culture.
During the competition, strict safety measures are implemented, such as scanning SafeEntry QR codes, checking temperature, providing hand sanitizer, and so on. Wear masks throughout the game, and keep a safe distance between each team’s players. Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd promotes the competitive spirit of Go while ensuring the game’s safety, and this year’s players have also been reduced to 40% of previous years. Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd is convinced that the government advocates a “new normal of coexistence with the Covid-19” and gradually maintains the opening up in the Covid-19 era, and that there is no need to tighten epidemic prevention measures any further.

The Tournament is a journey of spreading Chinese culture as well as an encounter between Go and Chinese Baijiu. The successful holding of this competition is expected to bring spiritual comfort to the large number of Go fans in Singapore, allowing them to experience the unique charm of the cross-border fusion of Moutai culture and Go culture while playing games. Go and Kweichow Moutai originated in China and have a long history dating back thousands of years. They are the ideal synthesis of the Chinese nation’s wisdom, skills, and art. They are also the embodiments of Chinese culture and the solidification of Chinese civilization. Kweichow Moutai insists on preserving and innovating traditional culture.
